How to Set Throttle Idle and Throttle Cut on RadioLink AT10II, AT10, AT9S Pro, AT9S, and AT9 Transmitters?

I. Throttle Idle

1. Idle Requirement

The engine must not cut out during flight, so the throttle output shall never drop to engine shutoff value even when the throttle stick is pulled to its minimum travel. If the baseline servo output at full-down throttle stick remains excessively high, fine-tune via the idle parameter to reduce servo travel down to a low idle level.

Typical reference values: Servo output = 100 at minimum throttle stick position; engine cutoff servo value = 130; target idle servo value set to 115.

2. Idle Configuration Method

Enable or disable the idle function via the idle setup menu. After enabling the function, assign a physical switch to activate idle and configure idle output as a percentage value.

II. Throttle Cut

1. Functional Requirement

For glow/gas RC engines, pulling the throttle stick all the way down shall not shut down the motor; engine shutdown is exclusively triggered by a dedicated throttle cut switch.

2. Setup Procedure

  1. Turn on the Throttle Cut option in the menu.
  2. Set minimum throttle stick threshold for throttle cut: To avoid instant engine shutdown upon toggling the cut switch during normal flight, the throttle cut only takes effect when the throttle stick drops below the predefined percentage (e.g., 10%). Once satisfied, the throttle servo instantly jumps to the cutoff position (e.g., -130).
  3. Configure cut offset ratio: Input a negative percentage value for superimposed servo offset under throttle cut mode; -30% is a common setting.
  4. Assign control switch: Select a preferred physical switch for throttle cut activation.
  5. Define active switch position: Specify the effective switch position (Top / Middle / Bottom; Bottom in this case). Throttle cut is armed once the assigned switch is toggled to the preset position.

Example

Throttle Cut enabled, assigned to Switch C with active position set to Down, stick trigger threshold set to 18%, cut offset ratio at -30%.

When the throttle stick is pulled down to the 18% mark, throttle servo output instantly jumps to the minimum cutoff value of -130.
